Dear Carrillo Families,
Our Conference Week schedule has begun. Tomorrow, February 8th, is a non-student day. Tuesday, February 9th through Thursday, February 11th, are virtual minimum days. Students will access their classroom remotely from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. Following their instruction, students can access pre-recorded lessons from our PE, Music, STEM, and Library teachers from the grade level "Specials" google classrooms.
Invention Convention
Part of our mission at Carrillo is to inspire students to pursue their interests, passions, and curiosities. Towards that end, we continue to offer an invention convention where students put their creativity and innovator’s mindset to work. Please read the message below from our Invention Convention organizer, Mrs. Yates and our introduction video.
This year's Carrillo Elementary School's Annual Invention Convention is going virtual! That's right! Nothing can stop our Colts from innovating! In fact, there is no better time than now to be a problem solver and contribute positively to our world. If you are interested in being a participant in our 2021 Invention Convention, please click on the link for the whole scoop and to complete the "Intent to Invent" application form. We can't wait to see your invention!

5th GRADE PARENTS:
We are seeking committee members and delegating positions for 5th grade promotion. We will be hosting our first zoom meeting in March. Please email carrillo5thgradepromo@gmail.com if you would like to attend and join the committee. No job is too small and we really want to make this year memorable for our 5th graders.
