Dear Carrillo Families,

We had a wonderful virtual talent show last night filled with outstanding performances by over 50 students! Thank you to everyone who participated and tuned in for the show. We have a VERY talented student body! Special thanks to our music teacher, Mrs. Odenwalder, for her hard work organizing the entire show and for always inspiring our Colts to pursue the visual and performing arts!

I'd also like to thank everyone for your participation in the Great Kindness Challenge last week. I've seen and heard many acts of kindness from students this week, which shows many students have internalized the message. Together, we will continue to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive community for all of our children.

Invention Convention

Part of our mission at Carrillo is to inspire students to pursue their interests, passions, and curiosities. Towards that end, we continue to offer an invention convention where students put their creativity and innovator’s mindset to work. Please read the message below from our Invention Convention organizer, Mrs. Yates-

This year's Carrillo Elementary School's Annual Invention Convention is going virtual! That's right! Nothing can stop our Colts from innovating! In fact, there is no better time than now to be a problem solver and contribute positively to our world. If you are interested in being a participant in our 2021 Invention Convention, please click on the link for the whole scoop and to complete the "Intent to Invent" application form. We can't wait to see your invention!
