Dear Carrillo Families,

I can’t believe the school year is almost over. Thank you for your partnership as we navigated the challenges and opportunities this year. Our community truly demonstrated all year that we are Carrillo Strong! Yearbooks

PTO will continue to sell yearbooks before school on Tuesday unless supplies run out. They are $25 each. If you purchase a yearbook online before Tuesday, we will deliver it to your child’s classroom.

Report Cards (K-5) and iReady Diagnostic Results (3rd-5th grades only) should be available on ParentVUE under “Documents” on June 9th by the end of the day. Please note, the iReady Diagnostic Results took the place of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) test. Although the results are important, they are only one piece of data used to determine student achievement throughout the year. The report card is a more accurate representation of your child’s performance within the standards.

Summer Reading Choice Board

Our one-of-a-kind librarian, Whitney McCoy, put together a Summer Reading Choice Board to help keep students engaged in reading over the summer. We hope students engage in the activities and online book links all summer long! If you bookmark this page on your child’s device or make it the home screen, that will help them remember that it is there for them.

School Site Council Voting Results

Congratulations to David Gallagher and Kelly Hill, who received the most votes for the two vacancies for parents representatives on the School Site Council! Thank you to all of the interested candidates. I greatly appreciate your interest in serving our school.

Annual Residency Verification for Continuing Carrillo Students: Opens Tomorrow!

All continuing families must complete residency verification each year to remain enrolled at Carrillo Elementary School for the next school year. Residency Verification is available now through Synergy’s ParentVUE portal. Parents should select the 2021-2022 Residency Verification option from their ParentVUE portal and be able to review any personal information that we have on file for their family and make changes to their child’s emergency contacts. Additionally, parents will need to review/accept the Annual Notifications.

If you have any questions about the residency verification process or ParentVue please visit the District’s ParentVue page where you can find instructions on how to complete the package for Residency Verification in English and Spanish, as well as links to our FAQ’s where you can get most of your questions answered.

After School Enrichment Camp Update

Good news! The District has permitted us to restart our Carrillo Programs after-school enrichment classes. Since this is run through the Carrillo PTO, and not directly by the school, an interest survey, signups, and payments are made through our Carrillo Programs Coordinator and the PTO website. We will begin planning the camps, including a kinder-only after-school class to cover the time gap between kinder and 1st-5th dismal. Please look for more information coming soon.
