Dear Carrillo Families,

Check-in procedures

As a reminder, you must bring a photo ID every time you visit our campus. The computer system requires an ID scan each time you visit and does not save your information. We apologize for this inconvenience but will not be able to allow you on campus without an ID scan.

Canned Food and Diaper Drive Update

The Camp Pendleton, Food and Diaper drive, is in full swing. We will have students and parents at the front drop-off area every Thursday morning to collect donations from your car or as you walk up. Families are encouraged to drop off cans any day of the week through the classroom as well. We will start grade-level competitions and rewards for the most items collected. Please see the current grade level counts below.

5th=0, 4th= 47, 3rd=46, 2nd=43,1st=64, P/T/K=19

*Box of diapers=20 cans, pack of wipes=2 cans included in totals

Last year, we collected seven pallets of food, diapers, and wipes to supply a free pantry at Camp Pendleton. These items are distributed among young Marines and their families throughout the year. This campaign is such an important tradition at Carrillo that has been going on for nearly two decades. Our United States' Marines and their families sacrifice so much for us that we feel grateful that our community comes together to give back to them during the holiday season. Thank you so much for your support!!

If we meet or exceed our seven pallet record this year, we will have a schoolwide, crazy hair day to celebrate!

No Toys at School

As a reminder, we do not allow students to bring toys to school, except for special rewards. When students bring toys, they tend to break or get lost, which adds more stress to kids and adults. Please encourage your children to leave the toys at home.

***Beyblades and Pokemon cards are considered toys and should be left at home or remain in their backpacks throughout the school day.
