Donating a birthday book is a great way to make your child feel special, and to instill the importance of giving back to the community. The birthday child will be recognized at Flag Salute, and the book will have a special book plate added to the inside cover with the student's name and the date. This way, anyone who checks out the book for years to come will see your child's contribution!

You may choose any book appropriate for kindergarten through fifth grade. Hard covers are preferred but not required. Here is a list of ideas for series and topics that are popular, or needed in the library. However, any book that your child is excited about would be a perfect fit for our collection!

Non-Fiction Subjects: Dogs, Horses, Rocks and Minerals, Snakes, Aircraft, World Records, and Science Experiments.

Popular Authors and Series: Geronimo Stilton series, Flower Fairies by Daisy Meadows, Warriors and Seekers series by Erin Hunter, Poppy and the sequels by Avi, Kane Chronicles and Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan, any graphic novels!

Holiday books: Picture books and non-fiction books about holidays.
