Dear Carrillo Families,

It was wonderful to see so many families at the school on Friday evening for the first-ever, Festival of Lights. What an incredible event! Big thanks to all of the teachers, room parents, staff members, and parent volunteers who decorated the classrooms for the event. I was so impressed by the creativity and detail in every classroom. Special thanks to Jill D’Artenay, our 5th-grade committee chair, and all 5th-grade parents for creating this event for our community. As always, Jill’s vision and expertise exceed expectations!

Festival of Lights Voting

If you could not vote for your favorite classroom decorations, please stop by the office tomorrow (Monday). We will place voting forms and a ballot drop box in the front office.

Festival of Lights Pictures for the Yearbook

Please help the yearbook committee capture the great moments on Friday by uploading your favorite photos to the Festival of Lights folder on the TreeRing website (link below).  This shared folder will be available until Friday, December 17th. If you have any questions on how to upload photos, please contact the yearbook committee at carrilloelemyearbook@gmail.com.

Dine-out Last Week

Big thank you to Surf Brother’s Teriyaki for saving the dine-out last week. Many Carrillo families attended the dine-out on Wednesday, and Surf Brothers will be donating 25% of the sales back to school! We are looking forward to partnering with Surf Brothers Teriyaki in the future.

Giving Tree

Thank you to all families who have participated in the Giving Tree! Your efforts are going a long way in ensuring these families have a very bright holiday season. There are just a few spots left if you would like to participate.
